Our philosophy
NO DIG - NO PESTICIDE - NO CHEMICAL FERTILISERS
Our Microfarm is built on a small plot of 1000 m² where we grow over 40 different types of vegetables throughout the seasons.
With our "no dig" system we do not disturb the soil in order to encourage soil life and micro organisms to proliferate. This way is the most sustainable way of growing veggies as we do our very best to permanently feed the soil with lots of compost on top in order to stock as much carbon as possible in the soil.

Our story
As former chef during the early days of my career I always had a passion for food. Throughout the years I came more and more seduced by vegetables and various ways to prepare and present them. During my journey I build up a knowledge of vegetarian and vegan cuisine.
In 2021 came a tipping point where I decided to learn how to grow veggies in a sustainable manner. Therefore I attended a training with "Landwijzer Biodynamic Agriculture" and worked on several organic farms.
Our mission is to give customers a farm to table experience by growing sustainable tasty vegetables and preparing these produce for them so they can enjoy them at home.
In order to realise this dream I had the opportunity to start a small market garden plot.
It the mean time I run the Roots-Microfarm project parttime as I still have another job as product specialist in the food industry.
